Liverpool Cup Chances Brighton Up

Liverpool strikers Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez each scored five Fantasy League FA Cup points, for a goal and an assist apiece, in a 6-1 hammering of Championship side Brighton in the FA Cup fifth round.

Martin Skrtel was also on target, but Brighton were architects of their own downfall as they made FA Cup history by scoring three own goals in the game. Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard picked up two assists, earning himself four points.

Everton winger Royston Drenthe also netted five points as he scored one and made the other in a 2-0 win over Blackpool. Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross earned a clean sheet and assist, for five points, as they saw off League Two side Crawley Town.

Elsewhere, there Sunderland progressed to the quarter-finals with a win over Arsenal, Bolton beat Millwall, but Norwich were dumped out by Leicester, while Chelsea and Tottenham were held by lower league opposition.
